Lake Jesup

Lake Jesup is one of the largest lakes in Central Florida, one of many that make up the St. Johns River. Located in the heart of Seminole County along the middle basin of the St. Johns, the lake encompasses an area of approximately 16,000 acres (65 km²), including open water and floodplain. Did you see the Black Hammock featured on Fox 35? That’s right – local weatherman Jayme King hosted his “King of the Road” video at the Black Hammock in Oviedo, FL! Jayme went on a fun airboat ride on Lake Jesup to catch a glimpse of an alligator, and to see the wild life surrounding historic bird island.
